Paul joined the IWSB in 2010 as a Trustee, with the thought that he would like to be involved with the charity, as a member of his family was already benefitting from their support.

In 2014 he became Chair of the Trustee Board and worked tirelessly to further the aims and scope of all that could be provided for visually impaired Islanders.  His calm and steadfast approach helped us through both difficult and  positive occasions.

Early in 2018 Paul passed on the chair to, the then Vice Sue Bungey, but still remained on the Board as a Trustee, the Board being very appreciative of his commitment to Sight for Wight.

At this month’s AGM, Paul retired as a Trustee but we are delighted to confirm he will still continue as a volunteer.

He has always been involved in fundraising, at Island shows and running his own quizzes. These have been very successful fundraisers, initially at The Waverley in Carisbrooke and now continuing at Galleybagger’s in Chillerton.

The Trustees, staff and members of Sight for Wight, would like to sincerely thank him, for all the time and effort he has committed to the charity and will continue to do so in the future.
