Sight for Wight is the working name of one of the Island’s oldest charities, the Isle of Wight Society for the Blind, established in 1895.
Sight for Wight is principally funded by donations and legacies, fundraising events and activities organised by many Island groups and individuals and Sight for Wight. Grant support for voluntary activities is sought where possible. We seek to raise income from hiring out meeting room space and leasing spare offices at our administrative base, Millbrooke House. We also receive income from profits generated by Dress for Less.
With a small core of employees, the valuable support and services offered to visually impaired Islanders by Sight for Wight are only made possible with the generous support of the 100 volunteers who give up their time in many different roles.
