Sight for Wight will be attending Wolverton Manor Garden Fair on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd September so please come along and say hello.  We look forward to seeing you.

Chris Cane (Marketing, Communications & Fundraising Manager) will be a guest on Vectis Radio on Tuesday 4th September between 2:30pm & 3:30pm where this year’s short story writing competition will be officially launched.  Find out who the celebrities are and how you can enter.   If you live in the Newport area you can tune in on 104.6 FM or online at: www.vectisradio.com

In the near future Sight for Wight will be offering a Yoga taster session. If you think you would like to try this, one of the members, Danielle Burgess, has told us about her Yoga experience and says: “I have recently taken up Yoga and I am wondering why on earth I have never taken it up before now. I have attended about five of Sue’s classes and I am already noticing the benefits from them. A better night’s sleep and an even more sense of calm and less anxiety. A loosening up of my joints and that’s just for starters. The classes have been relaxing and tranquil. Sue gently talks you through all of the different positions and movements, encouraging you to slow down and to make time for yourself. The technique of the deep breathing does take a little time to master, but once learnt, one can put it into practice at times of stress and anxiety. The gentle stretches are done slowly and you only need to go as far as you feel comfortable with. So do come along and give it a try. You have nothing to lose just all your worries and cares  for an hour or so”. Details of the date and time for the taster session will be available soon.
