On the morning of the 1st May, SKY is undertaking a major revamp of it’s TV guide, which means many channels will be assigned new channel numbers. SKY users do not need to rescan or retune. Once the new channel numbers are live, your box will automatically adjust. Your recordings and series links won’t be affected, according to SKY. There’s also more information on SKY channel 100.  

Changes are being made to the way some channels are broadcast on Freeview. You may need to retune your TV equipment to continue watching programmes when these take place in your area. If you need help with this or retuning doesn’t restore your channels, see below or call the Freeview Advice Line free on 0808 100 0288. You may be eligible for free in-home support, including aerial work if needed.  

Laura will be at Aspire in Ryde on Monday 14th May between 10.00am and 12.00 noon for the Ask at Aspire drop-in session. Local volunteers from the Guide Dogs Charity will be visiting a number of venues over the next few months talking about the work of the Charity and how you can be involved. They will be at Sandown Library on the 23rd June, Ryde Library on the 21st July and Ventnor Library on the 18th August. All the library venue times will be 10.30am till 2.30pm. You can also find them at Riverfest on Newport Quay on the 19th May, 11.00am till 3.00pm, and the Isle of Wight Community Club Open Day at Park Road in Cowes on August 27th from 12 noon onwards.
