On Saturday the 17th November some neighbours of mine Adam and Sarah Ward held a gin tasting evening on behalf of Sight for Wight. There was a very good turn out with approximately 35 people attending (including seven of my friends and a party of eight that were friends of the Society's FO Lisa). It was held in Adam's summer house and a small marquee he erected. He worked very hard on our behalf and mixed well over one hundred gins! My favourite was rhubarb and ginger. A raffle was also provided; guests bought various prizes. My wife Sue did some baking and provided the main raffle prize of a hamper. Overall we made £205 and Adam and Sarah also donated extra money and presented me with £250 for Sight for Wight. Many thanks to them.
