On Wednesday 19th September, Sight for Wight hosted a low vision drop in day at Millbrooke House which tied in with International Talk Like A Pirate Day!
Staff took this on with gusto and dressed up as pirates which exhibitors and visitors found very entertaining, adding to the enjoyment of the day.
Fortunately, no one had to walk the plank but visitors enjoyed ‘pieces of eight’ from the treasure chest whilst chatting with exhibitors from Dolphin, Professional Vision Services, Orcam, Macular Society and AGE UK’s Digital Inclusion Tutor.
Approximately 30 people were enlightened and entertained by exhibitors and staff and for anyone who wasn’t able to come along, Sight for Wight hosts a low vision drop in every Wednesday between 10:00am and 12:00pm, alongside the coffee morning at Millbrooke House.
Sight for Wight will be hosting another Low Vision Drop In early next year so keep checking our website for updates.
