SUMMARY:Striders
DESCRIPTION:Striders meet on the last Friday of every month. They walk on different routes around the Island and then finish off with lunch at a local pub or restaurant. The group is open to all visually impaired people who like longer walks in the countryside and\, of course\, there are always sighted guides on hand and the routes are always checked for suitability in advance. \nThe cost to walk with the group is £3.00 and when we do not leave from Newport\, transport can be provided at a cost of £2.50.

SUMMARY:Striders
DESCRIPTION:Striders meet on the last Friday of every month. They walk on different routes around the Island and then finish off with lunch at a local pub or restaurant. The group is open to all visually impaired people who like longer walks in the countryside and\, of course\, there are always sighted guides on hand and the routes are always checked for suitability in advance. \nThe cost to walk with the group is £3.00 and when we do not leave from Newport\, transport can be provided at a cost of £2.50.

The cost is £1 and the group is open to all\, not just Members. \nOn the first Wednesday of each month we are joined by the Macular Society for their monthly meet up. \nOn the second Wednesday of each month we are inviting people to bring along a friend/relative/neighbour to enjoy coffee and cake with us. \nOn the third Wednesday of each month we will be joined by Laura Gooljar\, the local ECLO (Eye Clinic Liaison Officer) from St Mary’s Hospital (starting in August 2021). \nOn the fourth Wednesday of each month we will have a trustee/member of staff on hand to answer questions about the charity.
