The Maritime Archaeology Trust is running a project which involves taking artefacts from WWI shipwrecks just off the Isle of Wight, along with some stories of the war at sea in WW1, around to visual impaired groups so they can handle them and enjoy learning about them.  They also play some letters from the archives sent to a sole survivor of a torpedoed ship just south of the Isle of Wight.

On Thursday 23rd January, Friends of the Maritime Archaeology Trust came to our Thursday Social Group and delivered a fascinating talk which our members thoroughly enjoyed.
