This week (1st April) we were invited to Lanesend Primary School to deliver Education Programme sessions to two of their classes.

The children learnt about how to keep their eyes healthy and already knew a few ways to keep their eyes healthy before our visit! They also learnt about braille and had a go at writing in braille. They used blindfolds to complete puzzles and challenges. Then also learnt about equipment that can help someone with sight loss and had a go at using a PenFriend to identify sounds across the Isle of Wight.

Thank you to Lanesend Primary for providing the photos and inviting us back to their school. The children really engaged with the session and we enjoyed our time with the classes.

Below are some photo’s of the afternoon sessions.
