On Saturday 11th September – from 10.30 to 15.30 we opened our doors to anyone who wanted to know more about what we do.

This year we worked with representatives from ten other national and local organisations offering a one stop shop for advice, help, equipment and support for Islanders living with their eye conditions or anyone wanting to understand more about what support is available.

As a sight loss charity we want our members to reach a level of independence that they feel comfortable with, and to that offered door-to-door transport and even a barbecue!

Over 140 people came to see us and our exhibitors. Exhibitors were Macular Society, Optelec, RNIB, Blind Veterans UK, Vision Aid, Guide Dogs, Isle Access, RNID, People Matter IW, Touchpoint Vision.

Maurice, one of our volunteers, very kindly provided musical entertainment.
